BMW was a famous German marque that was not well known in America except by real car fanciers. That all changed with James Bond. The film Goldeneye was one of the most popular in the series and it featured a new super car, the Z3. The first BMW roadster since the famous 507 of the 1960’s, the Z3 was a hit in the intended US market. Assembled in South Carolina it was in production from 1995 until 2002 when it was replaced by the Z4. This poster is for a BMW dealer in Annemasse, a town in eastern France, a few miles from Geneva.
Porsche has become synonymous with Lemans and sports car racing. The ubiquitous 911 has over 50 class wins at the track, while Porsche prototypes have won a record 17 times. This is the Porsche victory poster for the 1998 race showing the winning and second place GT1’s.
