The Pont du Gard is a portion of a Roman aqueduct built in 19 BC to carry water to the Roman city at Nimes. The entire aqueduct is 40 miles in length and shows the prowess of Roman architecture and construction. The three level Pont is over 500 feet in length and while it no longer carries water it still stands after two millennia. This poster is from around 1970 and features a photo of the aqueduct from the Gardon River.
