Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe – two iconic figures from the post war era of American art. Andy Warhol was one of the founders of the Pop-Art movement which focused on popular subjects from mass culture presented in new and different ways. Marilyn is a painted photo of Marilyn Monroe which Warhol enhanced with colors and new emphasis. This is the silkscreened poster created for the Andy Warhol exhibition at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, Germany in 1989.
